Leonardo da Vinci Project

Experience exchange in training and development between Romanian HR professionals and their fellows in Cyprus

The purpose of the project was to organize an experience exchange between 10 (ten) HR professionals from Romania and their fellows in Cyprus, members of the professional association Cyprus Human Resource Management Association (CyHRMA), partner of the project. The project was initiated by HR Club and coordinated by a project manager delegated from the executive team of the Association.

The beneficiaries of this project were defined as those HR Club members responsible with training and/ or HR (VETPRO), which would benefit both at personal and professional level from access to best practices and methodologies used in other EU countries.

According to the HR Club annual satisfaction survey, one constant demand of our members is access to development through informal discussions and to experiences that will allow them to share experience, knowledge and best practices. Therefore, HR Club has developed and will continue to develop strategic actions to provide its members opportunities to access and share specific knowledge, whether it is training and development, recruitment and selection, compensation and benefits or labor legislation and industrial relations.

Thus, the main objective of this project was to provide its beneficiaries access to training and development best practices from Cyprus through knowledge sharing with their colleagues from small and medium enterprises, training institutions, NGOs, public institutions or multinationals. As a result, the beneficiaries have acquired knowledge and methodologies successfully used in other EU countries and which will increase the efficiency of training and development projects and programs implemented in their organizations by the Romanian participants and by their fellows in Cyprus.

The mobility project consisted of a one-week working visit to Cyprus in April 2010, followed by presentations and reports which were disseminated to all HR Club members.
