HR Club Next Generation started as soon as we realized the need to contribute to the development not only of the current HR professionals in Romania, but also of a new generation of HR professionals who correctly understand and respond to challenges in this field.

HR Club Next Generation objectives:

• Providing participants with relevant and complete information about the HR field.
• Developing their ability to use all information acquired shortly after the completion of courses.
• Giving the participants the possibility to decide at the end of the summer school what specialization they want to pursue in the field of human resources.

The fourth edition of HR Club Summer School Next Generation took place between 6 and 17 September 2010, allowing the 19 participants to benefit from free courses offered by HR Club and the project’s sponsors. The agenda consisted of seven learning modules covering the main areas of HR management: recruitment and selection, learning and development, labour law and payroll, compensation and benefits, performance management, organizational development and HR strategy. Among that, the students also participated to an one-day training on communication and personal efficiency held by Elena Marineci from Human Invest.

Participants

The 19 participants were selected from a total of 92 candidates following a two-steps evaluation process: submission of applications consisting of CV and essay and participation to an interview with the HR Club executive team. The participant’s profile is the following:

• Students, fresh graduates, masters from Bucharest, Cluj, Galati and Timisoara
• With HR previous exposure (voluntary activity, internships, summer schools, courses, trainings etc.)
• With strong interest in developing a career in HR
• With proven seriousness, creativity, good communication skills, team work sprit, good knowledge of English
