Description of the event

On May 20, HR Club organized a new internal seminar dedicated to the topic of change management, whose special guest was Michael Miles, MBA Program Director at Telfer School of Management, University of Ottawa and Professor at Romanian-Canadian MBA. Mike Miles completed his Doctoral Degree in Human and Organization Systems at the Fielding Institute in Santa Barbara, California. He holds Masters Degrees in Organization Systems (Fielding), Organization Development (Pepperdine) and International Development (University of Alberta). Areas of his current research activity include international leadership practice (focus on China and Thailand), organization design practice, and the use of simulation to teach real-world business skills. Dr. Miles has implemented advanced management training and organization change initiatives as well as managed directly in the areas of staff and management development, human resource management, and organization effectiveness. Thus, the participants to this event had the opportunity to find out which are the latest international trends and practices in change management, as well as to discuss about two change management projects implemented in Romtelecom and Groupama.

Participants

65 HR Club members, but not only, attended this seminar - from companies such as AP, Avon, Danone, Carrefour, Henkel. The audience included practitioners (60%), HR service providers (40%), media representatives and members of the HR Club executive team.
