Conference on Strategic Partnership with the Business Environment

Managing people in times of economic downturn and preparing for growth

October 22, 2009, J.W. Marriott, Bucharest

The strategic partnership conference with the business environment is a part of the project “Partnership for the development of the HR field", co-financed by the European Social Fund through the Sectoral Operational Program Human Resources Development 2007-2013. The event was built around the theme of strategic partnership between the HR function and general management and included topics such as talent management, leadership development, change management, performance management and evolution of human resources function.

Of the 200 people who attended this event, the majority were HR practitioners - HR Club members and partners (71%), general managers of organizations from Romania (12.5 %), representatives of public institutions, trade unions, employers’ associations and NGOs that are representative for the HR field in Romania (10%). The participants had the opportunity to interact with HR specialists, general managers, professors and international consultants.

83 participants responded to the feedback questionnaire. On a scale of 1 (disappointing) to 5 (excellent), 78% of respondents were satisfied and very satisfied with the content of the conference (4/5 and 5/5) and 93% gave similar feedback on logistics.
